Camatch LiveBrowser setup guide
How to use cam chat without a download.
A modern browser can handle live camera and microphone access without a separate desktop application. The key is understanding permission, device selection and the few common reasons a preview fails.

Step 1
Use a current browser and a stable connection
Update the browser before troubleshooting an old media bug. Close unnecessary tabs and pause large downloads if the video connection is unstable.
A laptop or phone camera is enough. Place the device securely, use light from in front of you and choose headphones if speakers create echo.
Step 2
Allow the correct camera and microphone
When camatch.live asks for permission, select allow only when you are ready for the preview. If the device has multiple cameras or microphones, confirm the browser chose the one you expect.
You can review permission from the icon beside the address bar. On mobile, the operating system may also require permission for the browser application itself.
Step 3
Fix a blank preview in the right order
First check whether the site is blocked. Next close video meeting or camera applications that may already be using the device. Then reload the page after changing permission.
If the picture works but sound does not, inspect the microphone selection, room mute control and physical headset switch. Testing each layer separately avoids reinstalling software you do not need.
Step 4
Remove access when the session is over
Ending a room stops the active conversation. If you do not want the browser to retain permission for future visits, change the site setting back to ask or block.
Browser cam chat reduces installation work, but normal privacy habits still apply. Protect the background, avoid sensitive information and leave any room that feels wrong.
Quick answers
Questions before the next camera moment.
Can I video chat without installing an app?
Yes. Camatch Live uses browser camera and microphone capabilities, so a separate desktop application is not required.
Why is my camera permission blocked?
The browser or operating system may have denied access previously. Open site and device permission settings, enable access and reload.
Why does another app affect my webcam?
Some systems allow only one application to control the camera at a time. Close the other calling or camera app before retrying.
