The matching flow explained

How does live cam matching work?

Live cam matching turns a browser, camera permission and a pool of available people into a one-to-one introduction. The useful part is not only who appears; it is the sequence that lets you prepare, connect and leave clearly.

1. Device check

The browser asks before using camera and microphone

A live video room cannot begin until the browser has permission to use the selected camera and microphone. Camatch Live relies on that browser boundary rather than silently activating devices.

Review the preview, confirm the correct devices and close another calling app if it already owns the camera. Headphones reduce echo, while a front-facing light makes expression easier to read.

2. Queue

The service looks among people ready at the same time

Joining the queue tells the matching system that you are available. It looks for another participant in the active pool rather than sending a message to a static profile.

Wait time changes with availability and connection conditions. Opening many duplicate tabs or repeatedly changing permission can interrupt the session instead of making it faster.

03

3. Room

The match becomes a focused 1v1 conversation

When a compatible live session is ready, both people move into a face-to-face room. Voice, expression and timing become the first signals, so a simple greeting works better than a long scripted introduction.

Visible mute, end and skip controls help manage the normal rhythm of a conversation. Block and report handle stronger safety concerns.

04

4. Continue or leave

The end of one room can return to matching

If both people want to stay, the conversation can continue within the product flow. If either person leaves, the room ends and the user can step away or look for a fresh match.

Do not treat matching as permission to pressure a stranger. Each new room starts with the same need for consent, privacy and a clear exit.

Quick answers

Questions before the next camera moment.

Does the matching system show my camera before a match?

The browser permission and preview flow should make camera use clear. Protect what is visible whenever permission is active.

Why can matching take time?

The service depends on current participant availability, connection quality and the active matching pool.

What happens when I press skip?

The current room ends and the flow can return toward matching another available person.
